Varnum Continentals’ Mission & Vision

Established in 1907, the Varnum Continentals are an all-volunteer, 501c3 non-profit. 

The mission and objective of the organization is to preserve and share Rhode Island’s military history to inspire and educate the public.  

The vision of the Corporation is to be a financially self-sustaining entity that preserves and shares Rhode Island military history by providing responsible and expert stewardship of, and public access to, its collections.
