House, Grounds & Gardens
Whether you’re touring the historic Varnum House or enjoying the grounds and gardens, you’ll find yourself immersed in history.
The formal colonial garden features native plants and herbs used for dyes, household necessities, home remedies, scents and seasonings. The smaller garden bordering the Carriage House is home to local pollinator plants. The main garden was planted under the guidance of Master Gardeners, who continue to maintain it.
